Asia Pacific Youth Consultation for UNEP@50 and arrangements for UNEA Special Session 2022
During the Forum, on the first day one, 1st October 2021 from 17.30 - 19.00 Bangkok time, “Asia Pacific Youth Consultation for UNEP@50 and arrangements for UNEA Special Session 2022” will be hosted. This consultation session is regarding the process of UNEP@50 and how Asia-Pacific children and youth can engage in the special session on the commemoration of UNEP@50 after UNEA 5.2, at the special Session UNEA. The consultation will also feed into the youth manifesto that will shape the future of the Asia-Pacific region in terms of meaningful children and youth engagements.
The session will start with opening remarks from a youth speaker and a representative of the Republic of Korea, followed by a detailed presentation from experts. This would be followed by a short interaction session. After that, the youth participants will work in a drafting and dialogue session to develop key demands, perspectives and ideas from youth on UNEP@50 and UNEA Special Session

Join us in Partners/Working Group: Inviting youth & youth groups!
We are also opening invitation for partners to engage with us from planning, implementation, upto post-event engagement of the forum.
We would like to invite youth organisations, networks, groups and individual young advocates that would like to partner with us and engage directly in the Forum to join the Working Group, which is an open structure open to everyone interested; in different activities such as agenda-setting, developing policy priorities, youth action, knowledge-sharing, etc.

Objectives of the Youth Forum
The main objective of the Asia-Pacific Regional Youth Environment Forum is to provide a self-organized space for training and capacity building for youth - therefore, will be a conference that is organized and run by youth and for youth.
Following are expected as broad objectives of the AP-RYEA :

Training on Policy Interventions
AP-RYEA's main function is the capacity building and training that enables Asia-Pacific youth to meaningfully contribute to the different high level negotiations which are both environmental, social, and political in nature
